Afro-Colombian singer/rapper Goyo combines Caribbean rhythms, fluid vocals, and sultry club atmosphere for a sound that's relaxed but also exciting. She spent years in the music industry as part of the successful Colombian group ChocQuibTown before branching out solo in 2022 with her debut album En Letra de Otro.

Goyo was born Gloria Martínez in 1982 and grew up on the Pacific coast of Colombia in the town of Condoto. In the early 2000s, she began performing with ChocQuibTown, a trio with Carlos “Tostao” Valencia and her brother Miguel “Slow” Martínez. ChocQuibTown's blend of styles and socially conscious lyrics made them an important group and they have won multiple Latin Grammys throughout their lengthy run. Around 2020, Goyo relocated to Miami and began work on solo material. After the release of a few singles, her debut album, En Letra de Otro, was released in March of 2022. Corresponding with its release was an HBO documentary of the same name, which chronicled both Goyo's story and the making of the album. ~ TiVo Staff, Rovi
