Sometimes we focus so much on the end goal that we forget to enjoy the journey. GQNUMBERONE’s life has been nothing less than an epic adventure. With music as his notebook, he has documented his trials, tribulations, achievements, successes, thoughts and emotions into his forthcoming project “Translated Journeys of a Saint”. With a combination of lyricism and era-transcending instrumentation, the experience of listening to his work could only compared to that of a Broadway musical. What makes his music unique is that he never hesitates to give an honest and accountable perspective on the aspects of his life he puts into song. In an era of braggadocio lyric, gimmicks and clout, GQNUMBERONE seems to care less about putting on a persona and more about truth, reconciliation, and living his best life.


His currently released single “Crushes” documents his shyness around women he was fond of, some of whom he holds a deep reverence for because of their friendship and overall astonishment from being in their presence.


His soon to be released single “Too Soon” documents what one would imagine when trying to connect to someone via social media, with a keen perspective of how the apple of his eye would respond, delivered by Carriee Music.
