Raised in the suburbs of Stockholm by Surinamese parents, singer and songwriter Graciela Chin A Loi shared her passion and love for music with her father Pancho Chin A Loi one of Scandinavias pioneers within Cuban salsa and Caribbean music. Her musical background is as multifaceted as her roots and in the soundscape of neo-soul, jazz and gospel Chin A Loi has found her own expression, always with her soulfully equilibristic vocals in focus.
She has been writing Kpop hits and working with Swedish top artists as well as being the headline on jazz venues in Sweden and collaborating with high profiled jazz musicians in Sweden and the United States.
Chin A Loi has a strong belief in the importance of serving music fully by being creative without compromise and has taken to heart the words of pianist Larry Willis, requoted by trumpeter Roy Hargrove in an inspiring and beautiful interview:
