Gran Purismo

Gran Purismo is a Swiss-Spanish artist based in Schaffhausen (Switzerland). Deeply rooted in Hip Hop culture he is best known for his eclectic way of understanding and performing music. After his critically acclaimed debut album „Aventuras en el Paraíso“ (2008/ Fibonacci Musik) next to Spanish producer Hazhe he gained popularity in the Spanish speaking world, serving several features for artists such as Violadores del Verso or Rapsusklei. His global musical approach and his trademark, performing simultaneously in several languages, lead him to a multitude of collaborations all over the world. Further he added his vocals to Swiss Hip Hop pioneers Sens Unik, legendary Houselabel Purple Music or Word Music veterans King Kora (Ghambia/ Swizerland). In 2014 GP joined forces with Swiss producer Attic Room Productions. The result is an EP-trilogy named „Tristia – Limbus – Infra“, a daring project „that portrays a journey through our musical biography“ he declares.
In spite of the recognition by the Spanish Hip Hop community he chose to go the hard way discovering the infinity of musical possibilities by every new release, never sounding the same: „Thinkers change constantly. If I didn’t apply this to my music I would stop thinking.“
