Chasing A Ghost
A two-day session in Sauna Recording Studio Copenhagen, with a set of drums, a red Fernandes guitar, a looper, overdrive, and freeze pedal and lots of microphones to capture the experience. A session set out to investigate friendship and the passing of time.
Chasing A Ghost is a celebration of an important friendship and a step towards new and unknown territory. It’s the adoration of what we have and who we are, the acknowledgement of the creative spirit of the human being.
Chasing A Ghost is dedicated to Arne Granberg, father and friend, who died on the 6th of May 2019. He was a human being doing his best to live in the present, instead of chasing perfection. He went out in the world with endless curiosity and found beauty everywhere.

Granberg & Jørgensen is guitarist Johan Granberg and drummer Jakob Jørgensen. Since their introduction by Arne Granberg, Johan’s father and Jakob’s teacher and friend, they’ve been playing together weekly for almost a decade. In the beginning it was Johan trying to impress Jakob, but during their first rehearsal, Johan felt a silence within that he’d never experienced since he started playing instrumental music. It became the beginning of a long, creative relationship and collaboration.
Chasing A Ghost is the first in a series of releases celebrating creation and sharing.
