Victor “GrandMasterVic” Ekpo, is a classically trained genre bending Violinist and Artist/ Producer. Born and raised in Nigeria West Africa until his early teens, and also raised in Los Angeles, CA. He has performed so many stages and platforms whether they be on television, and/or local stage and performance.
He is largely known by most as a classically trained Violinist, but is well versed in other genres such as hip hop, jazz, gospel, and more.
Vic has shared stage and sound with notable artists such as, Khalid at Coachella, H.E.R at the BET awards & The 64th Grammy Awards, Arin Ray’s Album Platinum Fire track “Reckless” Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) on SchoolBoy Q’s latest album “CrashTalk”, NBC’s “The Voice” tv show, also performed at legendary British singer Ellie Goulding’s wedding, While on Tour with SerpentWithFeet in Europe playing side by side with him at each stop.
As a younger violinist at age 13 - 15, Vic was mainly introduced to classical music in which he learned to read and write. He’s stated in a number of occasions that the genre is indeed his favorite. A graduate at the Los Angeles County High School For The Arts, then continued his instrumental study at the Colburn School in Downtown LA.
Vic’s talents were showcased on a few social media platforms with large followings which brought tremendous exposure to many around the world. He was shown playing Drake and Chris Brown’s recent hit “No guidance”, seen by over 300,000 people.
