Born in 1993 in a city of south Germany, playing basketball and growing up with supreme producers like Pete Rock, J Dilla and Hi-Tek, GP found a spiritual connection to the culture of HipHop early in his life. As Green Piccolo was always surrounded by the city’s electronic music scene, you can still recognize this influence in his arrangements, f.e. his deep mellow break parts, which are rather unusual for HipHop producers. That's also the reason why Piccolo doesn't define his music as "beats", as he sees himself not as a service provider for soundscapes but an independent stand-alone artist. A characteristic that you can feel in every piece of music and that makes his music so special.
In his career to date, Green Piccolo has released various instrumental projects on various labels, such as Ryan Celsius Sounds or Waveplanet Records, the house label of Viennese producing legend Brenk Sinatra. He also has releases on Ninetofive Records, Vinyl Digital, Contre Jour, Inner Ocean Records and 808 Muzik.
