Green Was Greener is the project of the multi-instrumentalist Thomas Stratakis hailing from the island of Crete, Greece.
With his debut album "Introspective" , released in 2021, Green Was Greener sets the bar high in terms of establishing his strong creative identity as well as highlighting the perks of his flavorful sound and his ability to take the listeners someplace else with his music. A very diverse album, which might remind the audience of artists such as Dead Rituals, Francis Moon, Tame Impala, or Beach House, only to mention but a few. Ultimately this release feels like a perfect calling card for Green Was Greener, as well as a fantastic introduction to his work and aesthetics.
With his new album "Love Divine" the lyrics are inspired from loss, futility, death and Dante's "Divine Comedy". Although the creative process did not start with this concept, specific circumstances and personal experiences resulted in a very personal album. Sonically, the twelve tracks explore neo-psychedelia within the context of pop music, without any specific musical influences.
Thomas Stratakis produced the album aiming to capture the emotional charge of the songs as much as possible, while creating a danceable mood for the listener.
