Grey Ukra

I’m Grey Ukra, a singer‑songwriter from Germany with Ukrainian roots. My songs blend urban melancholy with hopeful energy, turning quiet thoughts into melodies you can feel. Music is where I process change, identity, and everything that doesn’t fit into simple words.
I write and sing in four languages – English, German, Ukrainian, and Russian – because my story doesn’t belong to just one country or culture. Each language carries a different shade of emotion, and I like weaving them together so people can find themselves in the music, no matter where they’re from. Sometimes that means a soft acoustic ballad, sometimes a more driving rock or pop track, but it always starts with a real moment.
My sound lives between intimate acoustic songwriting and modern production. You’ll hear guitars and piano, but also atmospheric layers, subtle beats, and influences from rock, pop, and rap. I’m drawn to contrasts: light and dark, doubt and courage, homesickness and hope. Even in the saddest songs there is usually a line of light; even in the brightest tracks there is a small scar.
I write about mental struggles, war and displacement, fragile love, and the small decisions that change a life. Some songs are letters I never sent, others are for people who need to hear that they’re not alone. If a track makes someone feel seen for a few minutes, it has done its job.
