Grinderhouse is the solo project of Antwerp based producer and multi-instrumentalist David Hermans. As the co-founder and long-term band member of folk/rock band <a href="spotify:artist:6TJyPz2l42qnUCILyp84rm" data-name="New Rising Sun">New Rising Sun</a>, he chose the alter ego <a href="spotify:artist:3hIiv2CJwcya7QetpoZnZP" data-name="Grinderhouse">Grinderhouse</a> to house his solo creations. Notably influenced by artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:79JJCxCCfJ8HufX6w8q2k4" data-name="Damien Jurado">Damien Jurado</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:64tVHZVSAZhDEiOJxnb6hE" data-name="Sparklehorse">Sparklehorse</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4MXUO7sVCaFgFjoTI5ox5c" data-name="Sufjan Stevens">Sufjan Stevens</a>, he aspires to an atmospheric sound, heavy in texture yet soothing and melancholically profound.
