Gritch is an indie/electro-pop band hailing from Denver, Colorado, known for their infectious melodies and emotive storytelling. Formed in 2006, the band quickly captured the attention of listeners with their debut album The World Was Asleep... in 2008, followed by the Sunday Morning Train EP in 2009 and their final full-length album Arrivals & Departures in 2010. Their unique sound made waves across college radio, with their tracks appearing on popular MTV shows like The Real World, Road Rules Challenge, True Life, and more.
The band played relentlessly in Denver until 2014, when singer/guitarist Christian Atencio relocated, leading to a hiatus. However, in 2022, Gritch returned with a renewed energy as Atencio rejoined the fold. The band marked their comeback with a remix of their 2008 track "Distance" on October 29th, reigniting their creative spark.
In 2023 and 2024, Gritch took the stage again, playing several shows across the Denver-metro area. They delighted fans with a mix of new material, fan favorites, and a cover of Tears for Fears' iconic Everybody Wants to Rule the World.
Now, after years of anticipation, Gritch is set to release their first original single in over 15 years on February 28th, 2025. The band's journey continues, and they're ready to show the world their next chapter - don't miss out.
