We are Groovemeister, a contemporary jazz/funk quintet from Bangalore, India. We love to tell stories through the use of modern sounds laced
with influences from contemporary jazz, blues, funk and soul. The ultimate purpose of this unit is to groove, to communicate at an abstract level
beyond the realms of language, thought and gesture. Through our compositions and collective improvisation we strive to evoke emotions and
visions of the stories that we conjure up.
After four years of playing together and refining and redefining our unique sound we are releasing our first recording project titled
Everything is Play - the title is a reflection of the childlike enthusiasm with which we play and improvise together and the joy that that bring us.
