Grottomatic is a one-man band in Georgia consisting solely of California native Tim Stevens. He clearly had musical chops in piano and voice since childhood and started writing his own material in his early twenties, drawing inspiration from acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:6zB02lwP6L6ZH32nggQiJT" data-name="They Might Be Giants">They Might Be Giants</a>, Logan Whitehurst, <a href="spotify:artist:292sg99iIOc93zcd30r4Oz" data-name="Jonathan Coulton">Jonathan Coulton</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5qTm7q4qFXRAokYGzdv8RD" data-name="TV's Kyle">TV's Kyle</a>. He prefers to write witty songs about unconventional topics in a fashion often compared to musical theater. He has also picked up the electric guitar because he felt like it was time to learn to play a second instrument.
