After success in the state TAFE Battle of the Bands and the prestigious Newcastle Battle of the Bands, Grrumble went on to be one of Newcastle’s favourite rock acts through the nineties. Being a dominance in over 200 shows, they were invited to play with the likes of The Screaming Jets and Silverchair and also being one of the only bands to play all the Grungefest dates that toured the East Coast of Australia. A hard working reputation was established.
These four friends stuck together and recently were invited to be a part of a “Heavy Rock” night and the overwhelming feedback of existing fans and from new ones that caught this show consolidated the Grrumblers idea that a good rock band cannot be ignored.
Due to popular demand, Grrumble will be re-releasing their EP, which they are backing up with a new release due later in 2025 . Following four marriages, two divorces, nine children, four mortgages, ten bands, six businesses, family health, friends lost, friends gained, laughter, tears, waves, close friendship, sure gives up some great reasons to write and play good music.
