GU3SS WHAT is an up-and-coming electronic music producer, songwriter, and DJ known for his unique blend of melodic dubstep and future bass. Born in Northern California in 1992, he began his journey in music at the age of 5 when he sat down at a piano and began to play. Noticing his interest, his mother signed him up for formal lessons, which he took for much of his childhood. Later in junior high, with a hunger for a new skillset, he taught himself how to play guitar which became his instrument of choice thereafter.
In his latter years of high school, he and two of his fellow classmates formed a metal band, in which he played lead guitar. As a result, much of his influence comes from this music he grew up on and many elements can be heard throughout his bodies of work. It was only towards the end of his college years when he was truly introduced to the EDM world, but was quickly immersed in its music and culture. With a revitalized desire to create, he decided to throw himself into his music once again.
