Officially formed in 2024, the band’s roots stretch back much further, with frontman Parker VanderYacht scouting bandmates for over seven years. After meeting Blade Johnson, the two have been jamming together ever since. In 2021, Parker connected with Aidan Johnson, and eventually Keegan Cass.
The journey took a turn in 2023 when Parker was sidelined by a serious battle with Crohn’s disease. Following surgery in early 2024, he regrouped with Blade, Aidan, and Keegan for a casual jam session that quickly turned into something more: Guardian. Wasting no time, they began working on Parker’s existing songs, including Wasteland and Nineveh, the latter of which was recorded in July and released in August 2024. Wasteland followed on May 30, 2025, marking a new chapter for the band.
