Guiding Lights was created in 2015 in Warsaw, Poland. While originally started as a song-oriented hc/punk outfit in the spirit of Husker Du and the Thermals, it has gradually moved through noise rock and math rock phases to a low-key downtempo music.
The first two albums were published by Instant Classic. When Instant Classic went on hiatus in 2020, Guiding Lights joined Fonoradar Records. Apart from the LPs, Guiding Lights self-published several EPs and singles.
