The man behind Guijaygoo is the German guitarist and composer Thorsten Plath.
He uses all kinds of electronic genres in his music. Combined with acoustic guitars, a wonderfully warm atmosphere is created in which electronic ambient surfaces meet jazz guitar lines, flamenco guitars shine over EDM grooves or baritone guitars solo over downtempo grooves.
His musical vita is as diverse as the influences of the compositions for Guijaygoo.
He studied classical guitar in the 80s, but his great passion has always been jazz.
In the 90s he toured with different projects through Germany and he recorded 3 CD’s with the duo „Take Two“.
From 2000 onwards (Starting 2000) he worked with various orchestras and wrote several guitar books.
Kept touring with different bands. Wrote the kid’s musical ‚Ohne Fups läuft nix“.
2015 he started the project Guijaygoo
2016 Release of the album „Welcome To My Gooroo Lounge.
