The history of the Guinea Pigs began over ten years ago as a sofa session in which the songs of bands such as the Bananafishbones, Ween, Barenaked Ladies and the Eels were replayed and reinterpreted with bass and acoustic guitar. Inspired by these bands, in addition to drums and a second guitar, they soon had to write their own songs. In the meantime, the Guinea Pigs can look back on a quite decent abundance of self-written, musically embedded stories. Songs that celebrate life and in which the bizarre moments are picked out.
