GULLY B is a Southend-on-Sea DJ and radio host known for high-energy sets across dancehall, soca and bass. He started in 2007 as a vinyl collector turned DJ, noted for remixes of indie B-sides in nu-rave. At 18 he launched Ramadance, a night for d&b, dubstep and breaks, introducing Dark Sky and Funtcase. By 19 he was a club resident and co-founded Diz-Ko, booking Chase & Status, DJ Fresh, NERO and Shy FX, leading to a Fabric takeover and festival stages.
In 2013 he launched GULLY B. To push dancehall he built Pull Up!, DIY parties with sound systems that grew into a Neverworld Festival stage with David Rodigan, Shy FX and Wookie. His six-year Reprezent Radio residency hosted guests including Shaggy, Shenseea, Skillibeng and Mr. Vegas, plus slots on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM and KissFresh.
He has played Fabric, Studio 338 and XOYO, and festivals such as Strawberries & Creem, Hackney Reggae Festival and Notting Hill Carnival with Pure Lime Chocolate Mas. His 2019 remix for General Levy & Vital Techniques earned BBC airplay and a Caribbean Afro Music Awards nod. Recent credits: Morgan Heritage’s 2023 album launch, Kabaka Pyramid’s UK show, Reggaeland 2024 with Shabba Ranks, Koffee and Popcaan, plus supporting David Rodigan at Lazyday Festival. Beyond the decks he has 10+ years in music marketing with RAM, Polydor, Champion, Madhouse, Madtech and BrukOut.
