Gumu is an Indonesian independent pop band, composed of a group of friends who share a love for Japanese pop culture. Led by Agum, along with his close friends Viola, Tresi, Nauval, Yuki, Dicco, and Billy, they create pop music influenced by anime soundtracks, visual novels, and modern Japanese pop.
The name Gumu comes from the katakana「グム」(read: gumu), a nickname given to Agum by his friends during his exchange program in Japan. Over time, this name stuck and eventually became the pen name for the stories they write.
