Nestled in the rolling hills of the Wiltshire countryside, Gus White is a folk musician and record producer with a deep love for organic, heartfelt sound. His songs are lived-in, warm as a pub fire, with just enough wear and tear to feel real. He records to 2-inch tape in his Wiltshire countryside studio—not out of nostalgia, but because it sounds better.
When he isn’t writing his own music, he’s recording other bands an artists. He believes in the magic of a live take, in the way real instruments and human voices blend when left to their own devices. No endless overdubs, no digital airbrushing—just music as it comes, imperfect and perfect for it. His debut album arrives this year, and when it does, it won’t be shouting for your attention. It’ll just be there, waiting, like an old song you swear you’ve heard before but can’t quite place.
