Gutiroth emerged as a solo project in December 2006, to create new aesthetics, musical dissemination, and the concern of expressing ideas. The band's name is cleverly born from the union of two words, the musician's surname Barn (Gutiérrez) coming from the word Walthari (Warrior) and Gorgoroth being the southern plateau in Mordor (Tolkien). This indicated the entire atmosphere that resided while the band was created. The result is Gutiroth, with its own meaning.
The band plays a very peculiar musical genre within the Metal scene, it literally has a concept focused solely on nature in a metaphorical way, its musical characteristic is classified as Black Metal, but it takes many forms of musical expression extracted from a variety of genres.
