Once you’ve heard Guy Corneille sing, you’re not likely to forget it very soon. How often does someone fly from Cohen-like depths to Buckley-esque wails? This Utrecht based singer songwriter touches his listeners with his deep, old soul’s voice and his poetic songs. His new EP WOOF - his first solo effort - is brimming with shaky, guitar-driven indie rock, reminiscent of Guy's teenage heroes like The Libertines and Two Gallants. But if you listen closely, he’s actually just singing very angry love songs. Good for a daily dose of romantic nihilism and singing (or shouting) along at the top of your voice.
WOOF is Guy’s first release as a solo artist, after years as frontman of indie trio <a href="spotify:artist:4EclYz0vh2KSmJ5s6NnfFt" data-name="La Corneille">La Corneille</a> and while remaining one of the artistic core members of interdisciplinary dance/music company <a href="spotify:artist:3OnWVPg6FI4tExb41pgS2h" data-name="De Dansers">De Dansers</a>
