Guys ’n’ Dolls were a British pop group formed in late 1974 by Ammo Productions, following auditions to create a six-member vocal harmony group. The original lineup consisted of Paul Griggs, David Van Day, Dominic Grant, Thereza Bazar, Martine Howard, and Julie Forsyth.

The group rose to fame with their debut single “There’s a Whole Lot of Loving” in 1975, which reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was originally recorded as a TV commercial jingle, and public demand led to the creation of the group to release it as a full single.

Although their UK chart success declined after the mid-1970s, Guys ’n’ Dolls developed a strong following in the Netherlands, where they toured extensively and released several successful records.

Line-up changes occurred over the years—most notably the departure of David Van Day and Thereza Bazar, who later formed the duo Dollar. Guys ’n’ Dolls continued performing and recording throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly in mainland Europe.

Their music, marked by smooth harmonies and polished pop production, remains a nostalgic touchstone of mid-’70s pop culture in both the UK and the Netherlands.
