Daniel Lutz aka Hack Jarlow, born and raised in Zürich Switzerland, started playing the guitar when he was 5 years old. Around the age of twelve he bought his first synth and DAW. This lead him to start producing his own electronic tracks. He mainly never finished these tracks, but used this process to dive into the endless world of music and play around with developing his own style.
In recent years, he’s been taking a more serious approach to music and created his own much needed creative space in a studio in the heart of Zürich. There, he likes to try out new instruments, new ways of creating sounds. His trial-and-error-approach and early explorations into the depths of modulations helped him to find a unique way of generating sound. His fascination of euro rack and randomness adds a special note to his club-oriented style.
When playing as a DJ in Zürich, he serves up an eclectic mix of genres. He always throws one or two major curveballs into his mixes to keep the dance floor on its toes. Unpredictability is a good way to describe his musical style and selections in his mixes.
