Haewon Moon (Korean: 문혜원) is a Jazz singer, songwriter and producer from South Korea. From 2008 to 2015, she was a lead vocalist of Korean Pop Jazz band, “Winterplay”.
After she left Winterplay, she succeeded in signing a worldwide distribution deal with the Verve (the first case as a Korean musician) of Universal Music and started to sing as a solo so far. Her solo debut album ‘Kiss me’ was on the first place at jazz charts of Japanese iTunes and the second album ‘tenderly’ was loved so widely (those two albums were poroduced by Goro Ito). Then She produced the third album ‘Chromatic Pradise’ by herself including composing songs and writing lyrics.
She is well known and loved as the representative of Korean Smooth vocal jazz. Her silky and elegant voice and songs are regarded unequaled in asian jazz scenes.
