Haimanti Roy

I’m Haimanti, an artist from Kolkata whose creative world blends voice, music, movement, and language. Trained in English literature and teaching, I found my artistic centre in recitation, carrying forward a legacy inherited from my father. I perform as a presenter and announcer at All India Radio and write actively, with published short stories, poetry collections, and biographical works.

I hold diplomas in Hindustani Classical Music and Nazrul Geeti, continue to explore music through the piano, and pursue dance as a disciple of Kathak exponent Keya Chanda. A committed Rotarian, I believe in art that connects, inspires, and serves.

My journey is a blend of voice, rhythm, and storytelling—an ongoing search for emotion and expression.
