Hamboy

Hamboy is the moniker of Cade Peterson, a DJ/producer stemming from Oklahoma City. Raised in the small southern town of Newkirk, Oklahoma, he had bigger dreams, goals, and aspirations than a small-town life and always felt like something was missing in his simplistic lifestyle. He discovered that he was musically gifted at a young age, teaching himself how to play instruments using online tutorials and learning music by ear. His love for EDM and psychedelic electronic music was found during one of the darkest points in his life and changed it for the better.

After an intense spiritual awakening in 2018, Cade Peterson realized that the direction he was heading in life was not what was intended for him. He dropped out of college in an attempt to switch gears and focus on what he knew he was meant for. Music. With an exceptionally musical background growing up, he jumped right in and started creating night and day in an effort to create what called to him. Finding a strong passion for electronic music combined with the impact that it had on himself, Hamboy was created.

Hamboy creates a wide variety of electronic music, mostly inspired by psychedelic influences. He creates EDM, Acid/Progressive House, and Techno music with Dubstep undertones. His goal is to reach people and impact them the same way that he was impacted, and to inspire listeners to do what they want, not what others want.
