Nineteen-year-old rising pop songstress, HANA2K releases gloriously addictive new track ‘Daydreaming’


Recently BBC Radio 1 playlisted.


On ‘Daydreaming’, the wistful bubble-like synth production floats across the track’s warm chords and deep bass beat. The Welsh singer’s mellow, honeyed vocal offers an honest and raw diary-like insight into a teenage crush: “’til you get your shit together and then take me on a date / I’ll just spend another daydreaming” she sings.


Speaking about ‘Daydreaming’, HANA2K says: "Have you ever liked someone so much that you think about them all day? You never make a move, you just dream about the perfect date, because you know the dream is so perfect why would you want to spoil it!"


‘Daydreaming’ follows on from HANA2K’s last release ‘Call Her My Name’ and early well-received, self-produced bedroom tales ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Too Close’. She has gained praise from Wonderland, Popjustice, The Line Of Best Fit and CLASH, as well as support from BBC Introducing.


Hana was born in 2000 (hence the 2K) and grew up a few miles south of Cardiff. It was after teaching herself to play guitar, then piano that she started to find her own identity through music. It didn’t take long for her to make a big decision about her future.
