"Combining the furious onslaught of The Red Shore, the emotional segues of Alexisonfire and the breakdown selection of Parkway Drive, these guys are a solid listen.
Each of the five songs on this EP stand well on their own and collectively form an impressive slab of seven-string delight. The first few times I let the EP play through, the third track “Blood Fever” really stuck with me. The opening and close of the track is a knee-shattering breakdown with a scathing scream: “You’re a failure, you have become the apparition of a dead man walking, you’ll be good for nothing.” The second track, “Bitter Tongue” begins with the most dissonant riff on the EP, invoking tones of Messhugah for a moment. Track four, “Vacancy” boasts an accessible groove to it with a sizable stomp established by the rhythm section. This track also lets the band show-off their collective ability to move around a time signature with great agility, returning to the downbeat with certainty and impact each time.
For lovers of fresh metalcore this is an excellent listen."
