Hanford Reach

Hanford Reach is a Brooklyn based neo-psych-pop band. Their 2021 debut album, After Image, has been called a "gorgeous psychedelic dreamscape" (Blood Makes Noise) and "sweet piece of pure psych magic" (Bands do BK).

Formed out of psych rockers Sky Picnic, Hanford Reach has expanded on that established sonic palate, creating a poppier, synth based world that could only come about when the psychedelic kids grow up a bit, with less focus on genre and more on rhythm and feeling.

After a handful of singles over the last few years, 2025 brings the band's second full length Ceiling Stars. Initially started after the release of their debut LP and subsequently shaped over the following three years, the songs see a thematic maturation and a stronger reliance on embracing melodies and technology. Across the album, an underlying theme of new chapters and new possibilities is underpinned by certain familiar tinges of nostalgia.

Ceiling Stars will initially be released via the band's newly minted Green Run Music label this spring. A burst of energy and a nostalgic, romantic reflection on the ensuing afterglow of dusk, lead single Remnants of Sunset kicked off the next chapter in Hanford Reach. Follow-up Hypnosis saw a Winter 2025 release.
