The solo project of singer-songwriter Hannah Lee, the concept for Victim originally emerged as a cathartic outlet for a reserve of raw emotion bottled up in the wake of a heartbreak. Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences, from Nirvana and Hole to Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, The Pretty Reckless and beyond, Hannah set out to find her unique sound, a journey that led her to collaborate with acclaimed producer, musician, and label owner Vanessa Silberman.
Known for her work as an in-house engineer at the Foo Fighters’ legendary Studio 606 as well as an assistant to icons like Joan Jett and Dave Grohl, Silberman proved to be the perfect partner to help shape Victim’s sonic identity. Hannah has continued to refine the signature Victim sound, a captivating fusion of indie pop rock and alternative grunge. Her EP is already on the horizon 🖤
