Started playing drums at the age of 11, Hansen found his passion and love of music at the age of 18 and decided to pursue his career on music. Studied at The Collective School of Music in New York City for a year, and continue his studies at UPH Conservatory majoring in Sound Design & Music Production. Winning the MLDare2Perform National Jazz Competition in 2018, Hansen toured around Indonesia & played in various jazz festivals such as: Java Jazz, Ubud Jazz, Ngayog Jazz, Prambanan Jazz, etc.
Hansen also played, toured & recorded with many artists such as Nial Djuliarso, Kevin Yosua, Ify Alyssa, Vira Talisa, Candra Darusman, Ardhito Pramono, Irsa Destiwi, Marini Nainggolan, Duara, Nikita Dompas, Kuba Skowroński, Dua Empat, Asteriska, Marcell, Adhitia Sofyan, Hezky Jo, Joshua Alexander, Audrey Wijaya, Nesia Ardi, EDWIN PUTRO, and many more.
Hansen is heavily influenced by jazz drummers Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Louis Hayes, Max Roach, Kenny Washington, Joe Farnsworth, and Evan Sherman to name a few. His debut record, '(Don't) Count Your Blessings' marks his journey in his love & passion to the jazz & Black American music tradition, especially Bebop.
