The power of music unites old friends – a band is born after 28 years
Hanna, Mattias and Per, three old friends from music high school, have reunited after almost 28 years.
During high school, Per and Mattias played in different bands together but in the 90s it was unusual for girls to be in bands - thus Hanna
sat and practiced scales in the practice room while the boys hung out in the rehearsal room.
It was at a mutual friend's funeral that their paths crossed again, and Hanna lamented over never having been in the band.
We'll do it again and do it right, the friends thought, and created the trio HMP.
In their new band, they focus on creating music, strengthening friendships, bubbles and pastries – a concept where the musical and the social interact.
Possible live performances may take place, but are not the band's primary goal.
What the future holds for this band, both musically and on stage, is left to the imagination for now.
