Harun Tekin was born in Ankara in 1977. After finishing “Deutsche Schule Istanbul” in 1996, he graduated from the Philosohphy and Psychology double major programme of Bosphorus University in 2001. He attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston in the summer of 1997. His band mor ve ötesi (founded 1996) recorded seven studio albums and played hundreds of gigs. He tought “Songwriting” in Bilgi University between 2011 and 2013, and went on to do songwriting workshops based on that class in collaboration with Gümüşlük Academy, TOY and DasDas. He wrote weekly in the Turkish daily BirGün between 2013 and 2015. In October 2016 he was among the music producers who took over Babajim Istanbul Studios and Mastering with Cihan Barış, Ozan Tügen and Tarkan Gözübüyük. In 2017 he co-founded DasDas, an arts and cultural centre in Ataşehir.
