HarveyDent is an award winning hip-hop duo from Canada. Members <a href="spotify:artist:5PrrtLx3t3Q5yWCHZnoHRu" data-name="Ev Thompson">Ev Thompson</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:02Ub0pSblvNVyoP06THJeY" data-name="Kurlz">Kurlz</a> individually have well over 700 shows to their credit, and have individually toured in 4 countries. As a team, the duo has a sound reminiscent of golden era hip-hop with an emphasis on technical lyricism and punchlines, with a feel relevant to today. They &#34;retro-infuse their raps with vivid imagery&#34;read one recent review.

The group formed in late 2020, and on 420 of 2021, they released their first project as a group. A self titled ep consisting of 5 songs, and a remix ep of all the songs to follow. April 22, 2022 they released their first full length album as a group following a showcase performance at the Northern Touch Music Festival. That album, entitled &#39;Highlight Room&#39; was ranked #10 in SaskMusic&#39;s Top 10 Saskatchewan Albums in 2022. To begin 2024, HD released a single per month leading up to their second full length album; &#39;4 Life&#39; , released September 2024. It gained tens of thousands of streams in the first few months alone.

To begin 2025 they have relaunched their Sunday Sessions biweekly cypher videos, and took home 2025 SaskMusic Awards Hip-Hop Artist of the Year honours. A new HarveyDent album came out on April 20th of 2025 called Cut The Music.
