HAT-R

HAT-R started experimenting as a music producer at the young age of 15 with all different kind of genres, two years later HAT-R discovered the techno scene and was instantly hooked. He spent most of his time producing high-paced techno tracks to share with his fans. Over the years of producing techno he started to develop his signature sound and became one of the pioneers of the new wave techno scene.

Although HAT-R discovered his signature sound, his tracks show a huge variety of raw and industrial as well as uplifting and melodic tracks, some will even say his sound has a French feel to it. Over the years his tracks got released on labels such as Clergy and BlackPlague. He also launched his own Rotterdam based label ‘Agathism Records’ mid 2020.

After building a solid fanbase HAT-R started DJ’ing. In his DJ sets HAT-R tries to hold on to this variety and mixes genres like techno, electro, breakbeat and EBM together and hereby lets the room and his mood guide him. HAT-R has been booked by clubs in countries like France, Germany, Poland, Belgium, England and his home country, The Netherlands. Although HAT-R is originally a producer, nowadays he loves both producing and DJ’ing.
