Havets Vargar is a Swedish Nordic folk and Viking metal project created and creatively directed by Swedish musician Jonas Almqvist founder of bands like Månegarm and Nattsjäl. Rooted in Norse mythology, Nordic history and original storytelling, the project combines heavy metal with traditional folk influences and cinematic atmosphere. Jonas develops the concepts, lyrics, musical direction and visual world, and oversees the songs, releases and presentation of the project. Generative AI tools are used as part of the music and visual production process. Artist imagery featuring Jonas is based on the real musician and may be AI-stylized to fit the world of Havets Vargar. Human vision – AI-assisted creation. Tales from the Nordic Sea.
