Hazy Smiles is the artistic collaboration of co-writers and co-humans Dominique Murray and Chad Pinto. Launched in 2023 after 10 years of bubbling beneath the surface, Hazy Smiles is a call to uncage the fun and creative person inside all of us. Blending pillowy electric guitars and danceable bass grooves with Murray’s earnest vocals and harmonies, Hazy Smiles tingles down from your head to your legs to push you into unselfconscious motion. Equally inspired by the Grateful Dead, Talking Heads, and Mac DeMarco, Dominique and Chad apply a DIY ethos to write, record, and mix unpretentious psychedelic pop in their home studio for listeners who know that sincere music doesn’t have to take itself too seriously.
