Headmix stormed a blazing trail at festivals throughout the 90s - in the UK and across Europe. The band’s highly crafted dubfolk style and unique approach to live shows ensured many sold-out performances plus a loyal fan base. A distinctive mix of traditional acoustic instruments, beautiful vocal harmonies and funked up reggae gave audiences something they had been craving for a long time: real musicians playing real instruments in real time.

Headmix reformed for a handful of reunion gigs in 2013, but are now back for good. Their new album ‘In Our Time’ launched in June 2022, and has been received enthusiastically by old and new fans alike. With outstanding live performances at some of the UKs favourite festivals this summer, they are blazing a trail once more - 25 years later and bolder and better than ever.

The band comprises of the original line up and founders of the band: Ed Stovell on bass and vocals, Nuala Friedman on fiddle/accordion/vocals and Sarah McLaughlin on bagpipes/melodica/whistles/vocals. Ollie Marlow joined Headmix in 2013 on rhythm guitar and vocals and they now welcome a new member, drummer Paul Knight.
