Post-hardcore band Hearts & Hands essentially began in 2010 as a one-off side project from singer Alex Koehler's deathcore outfit Chelsea Grin when that band's guitar tech, Alex Lyman, wrote a song called "We're Not Alone" and tracked it with Becoming Everest singer Garrett Garfield. When Koehler heard the recording, he was also asked to sing on it, and Hearts & Hands was born. The new group released a self-titled debut EP in 2012, after which Koehler chose to keep his main focus on Chelsea Grin while Lyman and Garfield continued as Hearts & Hands. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
