HEINY （a.k.a WINEY QUEEN YURI）

Heiny’s parents are from Brazil but she was born and raised in Osaka Japan.
Due to the fact that her parents are devout christians, she was not allowed to listen to music during her childhood but started to listen to R&B once her older sister brought home a CD.

When she turned 13 years old, she developed a love for Reggae music and dance and became a professional Reggae dancer when she was 17 years old. Using her dance skillset and overall appearance, she took part in many showcases, modeling shows, and was also a back up dancer in many music videos and TV shows. (“Pittanko KanKan” on TBS the well known program/channel in Japan)

In 2016, she won the “Japan Winey Queen Contest” and started to receive much attention within the industry.

She has been teaching dance for a while now and teaches in studios throughout Japan.
Also for those who are unable to attend her classes in person, she also uploads her lessons to her Youtube channel “Winey Queen Yuri”.

In 2021, She decided to become a singer because as this has been a passion of hers since she was a child. To realize her dream, she revamped her stage name to “Heiny” and recently dropped first single “GIMMIE”. The vibrancy of her Brazilian roots and her experience as a Reggae dance shine thoroughly in her music.
