Helen’s Bay is a Los Angeles-based alt rock band founded in 2019. The band consists of Josh Aarons (vocals and lead guitar), Lex Di’Amore (rhythm guitar), Gavin Anderson (bass), and Alex Lenz (drums). In early 2022, they released their punk-inspired single, Gold Painted Roses; and in 2024, they released their first studio album, Retrograde.
Helen’s Bay combines powerful drums—reminiscent of the progressive rock era—with vibrant guitar hooks, foreboding bass riffs, and powerful, ethereal lyrics. Although their music sounds like no other band, their sound is heavily influenced by Soundgarden, My Chemical Romance, Stone Temple Pilots, Audioslave, Alice In Chains, and Pink Floyd to name a few.
