Henrik Widegren is a medical doctor who started writing geeky songs about medicine, healthcare and science when asked to perform at a hospital AW in 2012.
Now he has released ten studio albums and has a YouTube channel with 80k subscribers. The lyrics are about symptom googling, the placebo effect, brave surgeons, vampire nurses, statistically significant love and the Dunning-Kruger effect. The musical genres stretches from singer-songwriter and indie pop, to rock, classical and jazz. All albums are recorded and produced by Markus Nilsson and Tobias Ekqvist in Sunnanå Studio outside Malmö.
When he doesn’t work in Skåne University Hospital in Lund, Henrik tours around Sweden as a songwriter, entertainer and artist in the field of medicine and healthcare.
