Henry Chinaski & The Weak is an Oslo based trio with one foot firmly planted in garage rock and the other kicking freely around. With an open minded and curious approach to music the band questions the idea of needing a cemented and concise sound. The pendulum swings between beautiful, gritty and ludicrously potent.
The band’s two songwriters, Simen and Ken Erik, met in a rurally located high school where they quickly became friends through their shared passion for <a href="spotify:artist:2QoU3awHVdcHS8LrZEKvSM" data-name="Wilco">Wilco</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4oV5EVJ0XFWsJKoOvdRPvl" data-name="Guided By Voices">Guided By Voices</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5hAhrnb0Ch4ODwWu4tsbpi" data-name="Yo La Tengo">Yo La Tengo</a>. Since then drummer Ola Even arrived from up north and Henry Chinaski & The Weak has officially emigrated to the the big city.
