HER NAME WAS FIRE emerged in 2016 from a night of bar hopping in Lisbon, when João Campos and Tiago Lopes joined forces to create one of the most distinctive duos in rock. With screaming low-end guitar riffs, thunderous drum rhythms, and powerful, melodic vocals, the band draws from grunge, stoner, prog rock, and blues to deliver an intense sonic experience.

Their debut album, ROAD ANTICS (2017), earned year-round radio airplay, a strong online presence, multiple videoclips, and over 50 tour dates, alongside an award in Spain. The follow-up, DECADENT MOVEMENT, conceived between Lisbon and Helsinki, tackled themes of impermanence and modern artificiality. A lush, extravagant journey through 10 tracks that cemented the band’s bold aesthetic and storytelling.
