Born in Montreal, raised in London (UK) and now in Ontario, HERDD is a 2SLGBTQIA + artist with a truly unique lens. Since his 2019 debut, he has served up eclectic alternative electro-pop, likened by Billboard to ‘early Gaga with shades of Daft Punk’. In May 2024 he celebrated the release of his debut album, Afterlife, with a packed album release party at 'Le Ministere' in Montreal. Released on May 10, 2024, Afterlife is a reflection of HERDD's struggles and successes with his mental health and his recovery from trauma and addiction. The album charted at #41 on the US Electronic Album charts on iTunes and the second album single, Paranoia, also charted at #13 on the iTunes Canadian Electronic Music Charts. The album hit #5 on NACC Electronic Adds. It received significant attention on both community and college radio across Canada and the US, charting on WXAV (#6), CHMR (#3), and WCSF (#1). The French language single 'Sors D'Ici' also gained traction across Quebec as well as Europe at stations such as RiffX Festival, LRDR and RTF 95.4. HERDD performed tracks from the album at both Canadian Music Week 2023 (CMW) and CMW 2024 and also performed at ‘The Q Musicale’ (a Pride Toronto event), in both 2024 and 2025, where he shared the stage with the iconic Carole Pope (Rough Trade) and Simone Denny (Love Inc).
