Here Gone Here Gone publishes findings of his lived experience. Here Gone aims to not only highlight experiences but alludes to the transitory nature of such experiences. Being totally within each song but allowing it to move right through.
Here one moment and gone the next, taken up by whatever takes the moment.
Here Gone Here Gone is the project of artist John Reid. John has been involved in the Brisbane music scene for almost a decade playing in various projects. Fat Susan was the first of such projects. After a catastrophic car accident and the disbanding of Fat Susan he set about finding his own voice as a solo artist.
This led John to pack a portable 8 track recorder and travel the world. The stories and sound created from these trips were released under the Johnny Jupiter alias. During this time John was open to more vivid and intense experiences. Experiences that left their mark.
Here Gone is inspired by things that move us, things that create feeling and things that increase positive human connection.
A weave of introspective, heartfelt and reflective lyrics combined with modern and nostalgic electronic sounds. Notice as sounds disappear and reappear just like the stories that float around you. Take in Here Gone Here Gone.
