HEROINES is a Finnish female pop group formed by Stella Löflund, Ilona Savolainen and Rafaela Truda.
The singers met in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2016 (The Eurovision National Pre-Selection) where they competed against each other, but later found the beauty of working together. Now they want to show the importance of supporting each other, and also how far co-operating and combining gifts can take you. The music of HEROINES is based on each individuals’ experiences, but also on the shared experiences of young women in modern society.
The name HEROINES came from the idea that anyone can be the heroine (or hero) of their own story. It’s up to each individual to define what that is for themselves. Great things happen when you believe in yourself and encourage others to believe in themselves. HEROINES also wants to convey that you don't have to be a superhuman to feel worthy, you are already unique and beautiful!
The members of HEROINES are also good friends, always sharing and caring for each other. Listening to each other and helping each other out when it's hard. They sing together, they laugh and cry together, they create together. HEROINES has many stories yet to tell.
